If an appeal is made to the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board against the Development Permit, the Development Permit will not come into effect until the Board approves or upholds the issuance of the Development Permit, with or without conditions.
When an application for a Development Permit has been approved by the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board, it shall not be valid until any conditions of approval, except those of a continuing nature, have been fulfilled.
Applicants have 12 months to commence construction following the approval of a development permit. The permit remains valid for the duration of the project so long as the applicant duly proceeds with construction.
