Artist: John Beaver
Medium: Arc welded steel and cement sculpture
Profile: I find satisfaction in creating beauty and expressing age-old truth with discarded practical objects, things most people would consider useless junk. They are resurrected into forms that are thoughtfully created and visually entertaining. The complexity, drama and tension in my sculpture reflect these characteristics of modern life. Musician: Myra Marshall
(Solo)

Myra Marshall
Profile:

Myra Marshall is an enthusiastic performer with over a decade of experience under her belt.

When first exploring the stage, Marshall performed as a solo country artist and formed a female duo with a friend singing contemporary Christian music.

In 2001 Myra expanded her previous style when asked to front an Edmonton blues band after being seen at a local jam session. Soon finding blues and rock to be a complimentary strong point for her she continues to excel in these areas. After singing with this band for some time she freelanced for a couple of bands in Camrose and later formed her own band gaining more experience and playing a variety of venues.

Myra also has experience and is looking for more work as a background vocalist live and in studio. Being a part of a couple of projects with Bruce Rawling at Heartland Recording Studio in Camrose in 2001 was something she very much enjoyed. More recently she has been working, in studio, as a demo singer for an Edmonton-based songwriter, providing all lead and background vocals for his projects.

Live or in-studio, as a lead or accompanying vocalist, Myra Marshall's versatility, attention to detail, dedication, and vocal maturity are desired assets to any musical production.

Musician:
Nick Andrew Sommer
Genre: Acoustic, Classical, Jazz, Others
Profile:

Nick is a young artist starting out in the field professionally. He enjoys performing almost more than anything else, and has been doing so for nearly 16 years. When he is not performing, he's likely to be found doing something else music related; practicing, jamming, writing, or just having fun with a guitar and a few friends.

Practically born into music, Nick has been singing since he came out of the womb; at home, church, in choirs, worship bands, Indie Rock, and walking down the street. He plays piano, and guitar, in addition to (although to a small extent) trumpet and hand drum/percussion. He has led worship in various church settings, on keyboard/piano, guitar, and lead vocals, as well as accompanied other church groups for services. In high school Nick was a prominent part of the music program. In his final year, he was involved in the school chorus, chamber choir, jazz choir, concert band, and jazz ensemble.

Nick is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Music in Voice, at University of Alberta, Augustana Campus. In addition to his independent study, he is also a section leader in the Augustana Mixed Chorus, where he sings Tenor 1. The choir is scheduled to tour in Italy in Spring '08. He recently became a member of the Churchmice Player's Society, in their spring production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat".

Nick's versatility in style, years of training and experience, and exuberant spirit add to any setting, whether church, social function, relaxed performance, or full out concert.
