This project includes lane maintenance and an asphalt overlay on the Lane east of Main Street (50 Street) between 49 Avenue and 50 Avenue.

Project Scope |
Project Description
Asphalt failures along the lane and the high maintenance costs associated with these failures prompted the City to initiate a local improvement to repave the lane.
An open house was held in 2001 providing property owners with an opportunity to discuss the project schedule and costs, as well as giving us the opportunity to receive input from property owners about existing problems such as drainage and access requirements during construction etc.
Atco gas will take advantage of the lane construction in 2002 to replace the existing gas services to customers along the lane.
Budget and Funding - The 2002 lane paving local improvement project is estimated to cost $35,000.00 with funding by local improvement to the adjacent owners at 50% of the project cost.

The Lane Paving / reconstruction, originally planned for the fall of 2001 , has been deffered until the spring of 2002.

Construction is expected to take two weeks and should be completed by mid September.
