Project Background:
The Parkview Subdivision was a multi-staged residential subdivision development located in the southwest corner of Camrose. The City plans to construct the final 40mm asphalt lift on the roadways in 2003.
Project Profile:
The last phase of the development was completed in 1997 and has subsequently sold out entirely. With the majority of trench settlement occurring within the first few years of installation the City stages the asphalt paving to allow for any "dips" in road surface to occur. The result of delaying the final lift of paving is a higher quality product for the property purchaser.
Engineering:
The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering Department.
Contractor:
Border Paving Ltd. and Branco Concrete were awarded the contracts for this project in 2003.
Budget and Funding:
The budget to complete the surface component of the development is $100,000 with funding from the City Land Fund Reserve which is supported by lot sales.
Schedule:
Paving postponed until Spring of 2004.
