Project Profile:
The east entrance to the City of Camrose along Highway 13 is in for some exciting changes this summer.
The Camrose Lodge & Casino is a first class 80 room hotel, convention centre, water park and Casino to be constructed on the south west corner of Junction of Hyw 13 & Exhibition Drive. This world class facility will provide Camrose with the ability to host larger conventions as well as being a destination tourist attraction for people from all parts of Alberta & Saskatchewan.
As a result of this development, 26 additional commercial lots will be available for sale, many have already been sold. Included with these lots will be 5 large properties along Highway 13.

Engineering:
The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering Department.
Contractor:
Central Oilfield Inc. was awarded the topsoil and underground contracts for this project.
Budget and Funding:
The project is estimated to cost $7,500,000
Schedule:
- Topsoil removal completed by late September.
- Deep underground completed by early November.
- Roadway improvements were completed by late September and involved excavation and compaction of the road base and placing of 3/4 of the gravel (in order to accomodate future curb installation.
- Shallow utilities completed by the end of December.
- Completion of roads scheduled for 2006 (includes installation of concrete curb and gutter, paving and ditch backfill).
