The 2006 component of this project involves completion of the 2005 underground water utility installation and the remaining replacement of concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk. This will be followed by asphalt paving later this fall.

Engineering:

The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering Department.

Contractor:

Central Oilfield Services Ltd. was awarded the contract for the underground work.
Joe's Concrete Services Ltd. was awarded the contract for the concrete work.
Border Paving Ltd. was awarded the contract for the paving.

Budget and Funding:

Schedule:

Underground work was completed by early July.
Excavation of the roads is complete.
Concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks are 80% complete. Remaining concrete work is scheduled for May 2007.
Paving will immediately follow the completion of the concrete work.

June 12 - Backfilling with gravel for under the pipe stability to prevent "sagging".	June 12 - Fitting the new pvc sewer main to match the old clay main.
June 12 - Installation of the 1200mm barrels to bring the top of the man hole up to road grade.	July 13 - Excavation for curb and gutter installation.
August 18 - Completed concrete curb and gutter.	August 18 - Forming and pouring of concrete sidewalks.
September 30 - Excavating existing curb and gutter.	September 30 - Completed concrete sidewalk and excavated curb and gutter.
October 23 - Installation of concrete curb and gutter.	October 23 - Completed concrete curb and gutter.
