Century Meadows Subdivision Final Lift Asphalt Paving

Project Profile:
The Century Meadows Subdivision was a multi-staged residential subdivision development located in the
southwest corner of Camrose. The 2008 City of Camrose Capital Budget includes plans to construct the final
40mm asphalt paving overlay on the roadways in this subdivision.
The last phase of the development was completed in 2003 and has subsequently sold out entirely. With the majority of
trench settlement occurring within the first few years of installation the City stages the asphalt paving to
allow for any "dips" in road surface to occur. The result of delaying the final lift of paving is a higher quality
product for the property purchaser.
The City will provide notice of the upcoming work schedule in an effort to minimize the impact to the area residents.
Engineering:
The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering
Department.
Contractor:
Jo's Concrete Services Ltd. will be performing the concrete repairs.
Border Paving Ltd. was awarded the contract for the paving.
Budget and Funding:
This project is estimated to cost $575,000.
Schedule:
Concrete repairs are currently underway. Paving is scheduled to follow the completion of these repairs.
