Fees to Use the Landfill

  • A person must pay $5.00 for a load of garbage that weighs less than 233 kilograms.

  • If the garbage weighs 233 kilograms or more, then the person will have to pay $21.50 for each metric tonne of waste.

  • Certain wastes like hazardous chemicals have special costs.

  • It costs money to have garbage picked up by the garbage truck each week and taken to the landfill. If you live in Camrose, your parents pay:
    *$3.08 each month to pick up the garbage,
    *$2.22 each month to take the garbage to the landfill.
