It is important for us to take good care of our Earth. There is no place else in the universe that gives us everything we need. If we don't take care of trees, air, water, plants, animals and the soil, then pretty soon our Earth will look like this: This is a place where we wouldn't want to play. It is not a nice place to go for walks, or have picnics. This is not a place where we can enjoy nature. This place is dangerous, and full of waste. Friends of the Earth try to think before they do things, and use what comes from the Earth wisely. They try to:
- reduce the amount of waste that they produce,
- reuse items rather than throw things away,
- and recycle so that less waste is going into our landfill.
Recycle with Centra Cam
A recycling fee of $3.25 per month appears on your utility bill. This money goes towards:- Utilities for the recycling facility.
- Maintenance Costs.
- Loading and Transporting of the Recyclables.
- Equipment
- two balers

- Finding Markets
- Commodity prices fluctuate (Recycling costs money)
- Labor
- sorting and preparation for transport
- site management
As of January 2004 any surplus funds after the sale of commodities is kept in an account to be used for upgrades to the recycling facility, and to offset costs when commodity prices are low.
