Minor Sports

Camrose has a long history of providing various types of minor sports to its youth. Several of the activities listed below (Hockey, Baseball, Softball, Track & Field, Soccer & Figure Skating) are part of the Camrose Minor Sports Association. CMSA meets once a month, with a representative from each sport group to ensure that several administrative details are looked after. CMSA operates bingos (usually Sunday nights) as a fund raiser and those groups involved typically work them during the timeline of their sport season. As well as working bingos, the Concessions in several of the City's facilities are operated by CMSA. By having volunteers from the sport groups work in the concessions, the revenue earned is then shared with these sports. These two fundraisers play a huge role in ensuring that the cost of participating in sports for the children of Camrose is affordable.

The success of the above sports can be attributed to the support given by the volunteers, officials, sponsors, parents and the first class facilities that Camrose has to offer.
